Q: How much is your consultation fee with the physician for laser and cosmetic services?

A: Our consultation fee is $150, which is collected at the time of scheduling. $75 of this consultation fee is applied toward the cost of a discussed cosmetic treatment and can not be used toward skin care products or medical dermatology visits.

Q: How much is your consultation fee for aesthetic services?

The aesthetic consultation fee for chemical peels and microdermabrasion with our certified dermatology physician assistant is $75, which is collected at the time of scheduling and can be applied in full towards the cost of service if scheduled within 30 days of consultation. This fee can not be used toward skin care products or medical dermatology visits.

Q: Are the physicians at GW Center for Laser and Cosmetic Dermatology board-certified?

A: Yes, our physicians are Board-Certified in Dermatology.

Q: Can I purchase skincare products from GW Center for Laser and Cosmetic Dermatology if I am not a patient?

A: Any non-prescription skincare products can be purchased by the general public. Please see our Skincare section to learn more about the products we recommend.

Q: Do you charge a cancellation fee for missed appointments?

A: A cancellation fee totaling the cost of the cosmetic consult will be charged if not cancelled or rescheduled 24 hours prior to the appointment.

Q: What forms of payment do you accept?

A: We require payment in full at the time of service. For your convenience, you are able to make a payment at our office or over the phone. We accept MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Discover, cash, and personal checks.

Q: Do you provide pricing over the phone or prior to the consultation?

A: We understand that pricing is important to our patients. We do not offer pricing over the phone as it will depend on the treatment area and treatment modality. For this reason, a consultation is very helpful. At the end of your consultation, you will be provided very clear information on pricing to help you with your decision and prioritization.

Q: Do you offer same-day treatment?

A: We understand how in these times you seeking to reduce outdoor trips. For us, it is also important to allocate the appropriate time to provide you with the best service and treatment. Whether we can provide same day treatment depends on the procedure. If Dr. Sodha can accommodate your request, we will certainly try to do so.

Q: Do you treat children?

A: Yes, we currently treat scars and vascular lesions in children. If you are seeking treatment for a vascular birthmark, the consultation may be covered by your medical insurance. Cosmetic consultation, such as those for scars, will not be covered under medical insurance. We encourage a consultation to discuss treatment options and expectations. In the case of birthmarks, we do treat children with eye shields, and we also treat children less than one month of age. At the moment, we do not offer sedation for pediatric patients.
